The Missional Unity Network (MUN) is the main administrative organ that enables P4C to pursue our vision, values, and goals. However, while the MUN is an administrative instrument, its heartbeat is relationship. It is designed to consistently connect the members of the Church to facilitate genuine and constructive communication, collaboration, shared experiences, leading to genuine and constructive relationships and outreach. It has eight components. You can read about each component below, as well as learn how to get involved in each.
Meetings provide in-person spaces to live out our values. General Meetings are set up as monthly prayer meetings. Praying together builds bonds and bridges as we share stories and battles. Then, special time is set aside for planning. The format is PLP: prayer, logistics, prayer. The guiding principle is 1P2X meaning "first, pray, and twice as much as anything else you do." Join us as we form relationships, share what God is doing, and strategize how we can Reach Purdue for Christ Together.
General Meeting Details
The First Saturday of Every Month
11:00am -12:30pm
Joshua House Third Floor: 24 N Russell St, West Lafayette, IN
Chats facilitate collaboration and announce projects to Reach Purdue for Christ Together. Our main chat is called “The Hub.” It serves to network the whole Church in the same place, connecting people to their callings and each other. Chats are not for advertising, but to help facilitate students from other ministries working together.
Social Media leads promotional efforts for P4C and its operations. Anyone in the MUN is welcome to direct message the P4C social media and ask to promote an event. This raises awareness for what is happening all around the church and helps protect the other components from devolving into an advertising board.
The Purdue Pulpit is our newspaper that spreads awareness of what God is doing at Purdue through His Church. It offers encouragement and updates for the Church at Purdue and beyond.
The first is the website, which you are on! The Website educates students about P4C, the Church at Purdue, how to get involved, and ministry resources.
The RPN allows P4C to connect with the anyone who views Purdue as a mission field so they can contribute to the vision of Reaching Purdue for Christ Together. These can be individuals, churches, parachurch ministries, businesses, or organizations. There are three types of partnership: prayer partners, logistical partners, and financial partners. For each partner, our monthly prayer requests are sent out, as is the Purdue Pulpit with updates on the Church at Purdue. Logistical Partners can contribute through their spiritual gifts, volunteering, training, etc. P4C does not yet have our financials set up. However, when we do, partners will also be able to give financially if that is how the Lord leads them.
The SAC is composed of campus ministry staff who volunteer to oversee and advise P4C, helping us pursue unity responsibly.
The Drive is how P4C keeps records. One of our slogans is "write everything down."
