We are a student movement and organization dedicated to consistently and relationally facilitate unity within the Body of Christ for the purpose of outreach and loving God and others better. Every campus ministry, holding to the true Gospel, has the mission to Reach Purdue for Christ. So our mission is to:
Purdue for Christ (P4C) grew out of the idea that God was ready to move at Purdue if His people were ready. The first step was a uniting and mobilizing of The Church. We knew that God desires unity in His church (John 17), and thus unity is valuable (Psalm 133). To pursue this goal, Ecumenical Euangelion (E2) was founded in the 2021/22. However, E2 failed to gain traction, and was disbanded at the beginning of the 2023/24 school year. That seemed to be the end, but God had other plans.
In August 2023, a cross-ministry worship night was proposed, one planned by students of many ministries for students of many ministries. YHWH Night was born. Students rallied to the simple call of God’s name, the same God we all worship. The heart of the night was to not ask anything of God, but rather, simply worship Him for who He was and His amazing Gospel. During the planning of YHWH Night, a new identity and movement was born, Purdue for Christ. After a beautiful night of worship and surrender, a new organization centered on relationship and outreach was forged. God was guided and blessed every step.
Over the next year, P4C’s identity as a movement began solidifying and the ministry infrastructure necessary to function was built. God continuously brought the right people at the right time. Now, we have begun to expectantly pursue the mission God has laid before us. We are blessed and excited for this opportunity, and cannot wait to see how God chooses to move on campus this year through the whole Church!
